Tweek.Cookies Policy

SIA Scada, a private limited company, commercial register number 40103161339, having its principal place of business at Rupniecibas 32b, Riga, LV-1045, Latvia, European Union ("SIA Scada", "we", "us" or "our"), runs Tweek at tweek.so: the web app and this website (the "Service").

This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies the Service uses, why, and how you can control them. How we handle personal data in general is described in our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. By "similar technologies" we mean browser storage (local storage, session storage and IndexedDB), which works the same way but is not sent with every request. Some of them are set by us (first-party), others by services we use (third-party).

Our approach

  • Necessary storage is always on. Without it you could not sign in, keep your settings or pay, so it does not need your consent.
  • Analytics cookies are set only if you agree. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask you first, with a banner where "Accept" and "Decline" are equal choices. Until you accept, no analytics cookies are set. Elsewhere, analytics cookies are on by default and you can turn them off at any time (see "Your choices").
  • We do not use advertising cookies. We run no ads on the Service and do not let Google or anyone else set advertising cookies here.

What we use

Strictly necessary

  • Sign-in (firebaseLocalStorageDb, IndexedDB). Set by Tweek through Google Firebase. Keeps you signed in. Kept until you sign out.
  • Offline cache (IndexedDB and local storage entries starting with firestore_). Set by Tweek through Google Firebase. Lets your calendar open quickly and work offline. Kept until you sign out or clear site data.
  • Your cookie choice (tweek-cookie-consent, local storage). Set by Tweek. Remembers your answer to the cookie banner, so we do not ask again. Kept until you clear site data.
  • Sign-up source (tweek-sign-up-source, session storage). Set by Tweek. Remembers which page brought you to Tweek, so it can be saved with your account if you sign up. Deleted when you close the tab.
  • reCAPTCHA. Set by Google. Protects payments from fraud and bots. Loaded only when you open checkout. See Google's cookie policy.
  • Stripe Checkout. Set by Stripe on its own checkout page, not on tweek.so. Processes your payment and prevents fraud. See Stripe's cookie policy.

Preferences

  • Display settings (i18n-locale, theme, colorTheme and similar entries, local storage). Set by Tweek. Remember your language, theme, colours and other display settings on this device. Kept until you change them or clear site data.

Analytics (only with your consent)

  • _ga. Set by Google Analytics. Tells visits from the same browser apart, so we can count visitors. Kept up to 2 years.
  • _ga_<ID>. Set by Google Analytics. Keeps the state of the current visit. Kept up to 2 years.

Google Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Limited. We use it to understand which pages and features people use, so we can improve Tweek. We have turned off the Google Analytics features that link this data to Google's advertising services.

If you decline, Google Analytics sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. Your browser may still send Google a basic, cookieless signal that a page was viewed (Google Consent Mode). It carries no identifier that would recognise you or link your visits, and Google uses it only to estimate total visit numbers.

What you do inside your account (your tasks, settings and subscription) is not collected through cookies and does not depend on this choice. It is covered by our Privacy Policy.

Your choices

  • Banner. Choose "Accept" or "Decline" when the banner appears.
  • Change your mind at any time. In the Tweek web app, open the menu and go to About → Cookies. On this website, use Change your cookie settings. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it: when you decline, we also delete the analytics cookies already set.
  • Your browser. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking analytics cookies does not affect how Tweek works. Blocking all cookies and site data will sign you out and reset your settings on that device. Instructions: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.
